18 Members came out to forage Mill Creek Ravine in Edmonton on July 11, 2026. Led by Lori-Anne Leger, Rosemarie O’Bertos & Mel Hohn, we wandered the forest along the creek from about 1pm-2:30pm. The weather was really nice until the end, when we got chased to our vehicles prematurely by a heavy downpour complete with lightning that struck right in the park. Lots of great finds came back to the table like Polyporus umbellatus, Hericium coralloides, Rhodotus reticeps & some poplar-loving Amanitas.
We were also happily welcomed a couple of boxes of pre-foray mushrooms that Steven brought us that included some nice Alberta Chicken of the Woods (Laetiporus conificola) & loads of Shaggy Parasols.
