14 members joined Lori-Anne & Taylor as we explored Raven Ridge on the back roads of Red Deer County. It’s a large, beautiful spot, we could’ve stayed & forayed at all day (some did!). The biggest hit was the large amount of Oyster mushrooms found – taken home by almost everyone who attended. Lots of other mushrooms were spotted & documented as well as many slime molds were found in the area!
We were also graced by the presence of a beautiful Great Gray Owl, how lucky! The forecast was questionable, but it was a beautiful day for a back country foray. We saw blue sky & sunshine all morning!
