Just 7 members made the journey to Kin Kanyon, Red Deer for a small & intimate foray experience with Lori-Anne & Taylor. We explored one of Red Deer’s city parks for about 2 hours & although the city hasn’t seen much rain for the last week, we did find a few mushrooms! Notable finds are some “just past expiry date” Shaggy Parasols, some tiny red staining Agaricus sect Sanguinolenti, some active Pluteus, a couple cool Cystroagaricus, a single Leccinum & a poplar loving Amanita. We also found a few guttating Fomitopsis mounceae that glowed with UV light & also tasted delightful & refreshing!
