It was a beautiful day to survey an area of the Poplar Creek Natural Area & we collected a good variety of edible & interesting fungi! Favourites of the day included many Hydnums (hedgehogs!), a single King Bolete, a couple Leccinums, a few Amanitas & a really cool entomopathogenic fungi on a larva – Orphiocordyceps variabilis.  We were very happy to report no garbage was found in the area, however there was a good bit of fresh deadfall & some piles of brush to report in our survey report.
