Just 11 members made the journey to Rundles Mission for a small, smoky, humid, mosquito filled foray with Lori-Anne & Taylor. We explored some beautiful trails around Pigeon Lake for about an hour & a half, but sadly, the mushrooms were in hiding. Although the weather was ideal & mushrooms have been spotted in the area, unfortunately we were mostly skunked aside from some very small Artomyces pyxidatus, some Lepista, a few Coprinopsis sect Atramentariae & some Monotropa uniflora (not a mushroom, but a good friend of them, so worth noting). Thanks to all who made it out, we wish the mushrooms would have shown themselves, but we truly enjoyed sharing our trails with you!

Finds:

  • Artomyces pyxidatus
  • suspected Lepista glaucocana
  • Coprinopsis sect Atramentariae
  • Fomitopsis mounceae
  • Ganoderma applanatum
  • Fomes excavatus
