Spring mushroom excitement drew many AMS members to explore the Perrenoud Wildlife Habitat Area. Hopes were high to find a high number of morels and/or verpas. However, despite the earlier rains in May, the area was somewhat dry and only 1 morel was found. A smattering of mostly older mushrooms, polypores and fungal crusts were found.
