Post AGM/President’s Dinner foray with special guest, Britt Bunyard! We had a great turnout & found lots more than expected, considering it’s still only March, just below freezing temps & there is still snow on the ground. We kicked off the first AMS foray of the year with 24 attendees. Led by Lori-Anne Leger & Ryan Armishaw, with collaboration from Martin Osis, Mel Hohn & Taylor Routledge.

We had an entertaining morning with lots of great information & mini talks from Martin & Britt. We were immediately met by chickadees, Schizophyllum commune, Trichaptum & Ganoderma applanatum. Although it was a bit cold, we all trudged through the snow & found quite a few other things! Trametes pubescens, Apiosporina morbosa, Fomes excavatus, Phellinus tremulae, Fomitiporia punctata, Fomitopsis ochracea, Nectria cinnabarina, Peniophora rufa, Trichothecium roseum, Coriolopsis, Stereum & Irpex were also found & documented. We even met some of last year’s Monotropa uniflora!

Huge thanks to everyone who made it out this morning. We look forward to seeing more of you at future forays!
