When did the foray occur: Tuesday, June 15, 2021

Foray Length: 2 hours

Attendance: 17 people + 2 leaders

Mushroom Species Found: Morels has been found in abundance (in the hundreds) on Friday, June 11 and the earliest the leaders could call a foray was 4 days later on Tuesday. Unfortunately, due to the lack of rain and hot, dry conditions, by Tuesday the number of morels had diminished significantly.

Terrain: Large west facing slope had been clear cut. Along Range Road 54A just south of the Highway 66.

Weather Conditions: Clear with some cloud, warm (around 16˚C).

Additional Comments: The photo with 3 baskets of morels was taken on the Friday. By Tuesday, the picking were unfortunately slim.
