What: Foray at Station Flats in the Elbow Valley

When did the foray occur: July 30, 2020

Foray Length: 2.5 hours

Attendance: 17 people

Mushroom Species Found:

Leccinum insigne, various Cortinarius sp., various Russula sp., Lactarius sp. (clear milk), Ganoderma and Fomitopsis sp., Black footed polypore.

Terrain: Mainly conifer woodland with a few aspen.

Weather Conditions: Sunny, hot around 24’C

Additional Comments: This foray was requested by some Bragg Creek area residents. It was opened up to a few more AMS members as well. The numbers were kept low due to COVID19 and it was meant to be more of an educational foray rather than an “full basket” edible mushroom collection. The area was dry side and mushrooms were not abundant, however, a few were found to make for a reasonable teaching experience. No photos available.
