Thursday was a cool rainy day. As a matter of fact it rained lightly all day long but the foray went ahead. The only gilled mushroom found was the “weed of the forest” as tagged by Michael Kuo: Gymnopus dryophilus. But flowers there were many as these plants were in full bloom: Pricky Rose, Red Osier Dogwood, High Bush Cranberry, Twinflower, Twining Honeysuckle, and Bunchberry. Saskatoons and wild strawberry are almost ready for picking!
