Weather:  The weather Wednesday evening was a little cloudy with temperatures around 12-16C.

Terrain:  The forest is a mix of spruce, pine, poplar and aspen. A mix of elevation gains and a nearby creek bed.


Considering that Calgary had only received low amounts of rain, the conditions in the woods had some moisture. Mushrooms were reasonably prolific and edibles were found.

Finds: Listed below are the names of specimens found. The best edible finds were young honey mushrooms, a variety of boletes, and a smaller amount of hericium, puffballs, gomphidius and Lactarius … see the photos and list below.
