DESCRIPTION:The Leccinum boreale is Alberta’s Provincial Mushroom. We will talk about the backstory of how that came to be. It is one mushroom that does not appear in many field guides. What does it look like\, where can you find it\, and most importantly why this is important to us.  We will also do a bit of a general dive into Leccinum. It is easy to figure out that you have got the genus Leccinum\, but really difficult to figure out which species.

All proceeds will go towards supporting the vital work of CALSARA.\nLive Band:Enjoy the lively performance of (The backroad traveler Band)\, adding a festive vibe to the event. Friday June 20th – 2 pm. Sunday June 22nd\nWhat: Solstice celebration – First weekend foray of 2025.\nCost: Tickets include camping and food\n\n1 night – $35.00\n2 nights – $60.00\n\n\n\nA chance to bring and showcase your last year’s harvest. \nForay in and around the forestry trunk road (in the past this area has been an excellent source of Morels\, Hericium\, Hedgehogs\, Puff Balls [large] ) \nJoin in around the campfire (firewood is not supplied) for Supper (Friday)\, Breakfast/Dinner (Saturday) with lunchtime snacks thrown in (bring your beverages/water). Share your favourite PotLuck dishes with the crowd! \n\nIt is best to bring a map of the area and compass as signage and cellphone reception are limited.
