SUMMARY:Red Deer Region Foray
DESCRIPTION:We are headed about 15 minutes east of Red Deer. It’s an area known for its Leccinum and Amanita muscaria var. guessowii and other exciting fungi seem to randomly pop up here in wet years and we know it’s been one of those! The road in is gravel and can be rather tricky if we get a dump of rain beforehand. As usual you can expect a fairly thick underbrush containing both roses and gooseberry. Long pants and sleeves are advised.
