DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Michael Schulz\nDate:  June 4 and June 5\, 2022 \nTime: 10 AM to 5 PM \nLocation: Lac La Biche\, Alberta \nMUSHROOM COURSE BONANZA WEEKEND!\nThis June 4 & 5 Mike Schulz will be offering two mushroom courses in beautiful Lac La Biche\, Alberta. Mike is an experienced mycologist with an MSc in fungal ecology and 20 years of experience teaching mushroom identification. Come for one course or both!\n\nOn Saturday June 4 will be Spring Mushrooms\, a course that combines classroom and field components to help you learn and practice proper mushroom identification\, with an emphasis on spring species. It is being offered through Portage College’s Continuing Education program\, at a cost of only $75. To register\, contact training@portagecollege.ca or call 1-888-745-0719 (see attached poster).\n\nOn Sunday June 5\, we will be offering the much-awaited Mushroom Microscopy course! It will cover more advanced mushroom identification using microscopic features and staining. We will look at features of gilled mushrooms\, ascomycetes\, polypores\, and more! Mike will be offering this course privately\, at a cost of $125 if you come for just the microscopy course\, or $100 if you come for both courses. Microscopes will be provided\, unless you want to bring your own.\n\nBoth courses will run from 10 am-5 pm. Registration is limited in both courses\, so sign up early to guarantee your spot!
