SUMMARY:Summer Solstice Camp and Foray Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Camping\, foraging\, fireside stories and LOTS of FOOD make the first AMS weekend outing of the year. This event is all about socializing and reconnecting with old friends\, as well as making new ones! Let’s welcome the new season with an event to shake off the cobwebs of winter and the drizzle of spring! \nDetails:\nCamping – $25.00 per unit (Friday evening through Sunday morning)\nBring your RV\, your van\, your tent\, or whatever you sleep in! Folks are welcome to arrive by 4pm.\n\nForage & Feast – $20.00 per person (Saturday. 16 & under are free)\nThe main event! Forage earlier in the day\, feast later! Liz Watts is preparing a mushroom lasagna as the main entree\, and we ask that everyone provides an item to make up the rest of the meal. Suggestions are: Appetizers\, sides\, veggies\, salad\, condiments and desserts/treats. Please remember to provide a list of ingredients with your dish so that we can minimize any ‘allergy’ issues.\n\nTimeline:\nFriday is setup and get comfy time! Arrive after 4pm\, set up your camp\, and catch up/chat under the stars around the campfire. (Please bring your own firewood and snacks!)\nSaturday is for celebration! At 10am\, Mel Hohn will lead a foray\, with a second foray around 1pm. Folks only planning to attend the Saturday are welcome to attend either one\, but please pack a lunch for yourself (nothing large though\, save room for dinner!)\nSunday is for tidying up! Last year\, attendees left all of the cleanup for the handful of remaining campers. If you are camping with us\, please tidy up your own space then join us in cleaning the hall. Many hands make light work!\n\n\n\nEvergreen Hall\, Condor AB is in between Edmonton (206 Km) and Calgary (178 Km).\n\n\n\n\n\nLastly\, Volunteers will be needed on Saturday. We will be asking on the day so be prepared.

DESCRIPTION:Foray on private land for AMS members. \nLeader(s): Christine Costello / Debra Golding\nDate:  Sunday\, June 23\, 2024\nTime:  10 AM – NOON \nLocation: Mountain View County – Exact location will be emailed to all paid AMS members 2-3 days before the event. \nThere is no need to pre-register / simply arrive at the specified time.  \n\nAll participants will be asked to sign a waiver form.\nBring a basket or breathable bag for mushroom collection (plastic bags cause fungi to sweat and deteriorate)\nProper shoes and clothing to guard against mosquitos\, ticks and thorny plants.\n\nPlease be advised that all events listed on our website are subject to change or cancellation due to various factors\, including but not limited to: \n\nUnfavourable Moisture/Fruiting Conditions: Mushroom growth is heavily dependent on environmental conditions such as moisture levels and temperature. If conditions are not conducive to mushroom fruiting\, events may be cancelled.\nUnforeseen Circumstances: Despite our best efforts to plan and organize events\, unforeseen circumstances may arise that necessitate cancellation or postponement.\nLack of Volunteers: Our events rely on volunteers to lead forays\, and if there is a shortage of volunteers\, we may need to cancel or reschedule events.\n×
