DESCRIPTION:2026 Summer Solstice Feast WeekendFriday\, June 19th\, from 5 pm to Sunday\, June 21st @ 2 pm.  The Bergen Community Hall\n\n\n\nCamping:\n\nThere is plenty of space for camping without an electrical hookup – included in the ticket\nThere are 6 camping spots with electrical hookup (15 amp plugin) – $15/each\n\n\nFood Will Include:\n\nFriday – Hot Dogs and S’mores\nSaturday – Main Feast Entree\, including a safe (Vegan) option. Mushrooms will be prominently featured!! Please bring a ‘Potluck’ side to accompany the Main Feast (include a note with a list of ingredients)\nSunday – The First ‘Offspring BBQ Brunch’\n\nNote: We recommend you bring your own food and snacks for any additional meals (ie. breakfast). \n\nSchedule:\nFriday June 19th Arrival and settling in \n\n5:00 pm – Arrive – Setup\n6:00 pm (?) – Foray time – Evening hunt around the grounds\, lots of trees. UV lights available\n6:30 pm – Dinner on a stick –Wiener roast and Build You Own\, Music and games\n9:00 pm – Bioluminescence Foray\n11:00 pm – Bedtime…\n\nSaturday June 20th – The LONGEST day of the year \n\n8:00 am – Breakfast\n10:00 am –Fungi Akuafo Tour OR Foray time\n12:00 Noon – ID time\n1:00 pm – Lunch\n2:00 pm – Foray time\n4:00 pm – ID time\n6:30 pm – Solstice Feast with Music\, games and too much food\n9:00 pm – Bioluminescence Foray\n11:00 pm – Bedtime…\n\nSunday June 21st – Windup/ Father’s Day \n\n9:00 am – Offspring Brunch\, an homage to Father’s Day\n10:00am – Foray time – Final foray\n12:00 noon – ID and cleanup time\n3:00 pm – CHECKOUT\n\n\nPotential Foray Areas:\n\nBergen Hall grounds – Grass and Trees\nRocky Mountains & Foothills (45 min drive to the mountains)\nNorth/South Cowboy trail\n\n\n\n\nNOTE:\nCalgary to Bergen – 109 Km @ 1 hr. 24 mins\nEdmonton to Bergen – 263 Km @ 2 hr. 50 mins\nWe are offering a tour of the Fungi Akuafo facilities on Saturday morning. The facility is located just outside of Bergen and the tour will include the lab and incubation room\, and areas where mushrooms are grown outside. There is a limit of 10 people for the tour.
