DESCRIPTION:My name is Nicole Lau\, and I am the 2022 AMS Graduate Award winner. I am a MSc student in Conservation Biology\, working under the supervision of Dr. Justine Karst at the University of Alberta. In my research\, I explored the role of mycorrhizal fungal communities in influencing soil carbon storage following mountain pine beetle disturbance.
