DESCRIPTION:This is a FREE event and is first come\, first seated. Please invite any who are interested. Doors open at 7:00pm. \nThe Young Polish-Canadian Professional Association together with the Alberta Mycological Society are excited to invite you to this presentation about edible mushrooms that you can find here in Alberta. Have you always wanted to go mushroom picking here at home\, but never knew where to go or what you can pick? Our presenters will share with you their knowledge and experience. \nChristine Costello (Speaker 1)\nChristine joined the Alberta Mycological Society in 2013. She presently sits on the board and is the membership coordinator. In the six years she has been a member\, she has foraged for wild mushrooms and learned quite a bit about their culinary uses. She still has much to learn\, but enjoys sharing her knowledge. \nBarb Shworak (Speaker 2)\nBarb joined the Alberta Mycological Society in 2013. She was a member of the board for two years as webmaster. She comes from a family that has foraged for wild mushrooms since childhood. She is very enthusiastic about the world of fungi and also enjoys sharing her interest and knowledge. \nA warm thank you to Polish-Canadian Association and the Polish Canadian Cultural Centre (Dom Polski) for sponsoring and hosting us.
